Top On-Screen Romances Which Were Totally Different In Real Life

Fans simply love on-screen romances. Even during their ups and downs, we love watching them get back together or even reconciling to divorce but still being friends; and we always recall those scenes of devotion, affection, and love. So how annoying is it to find out that many a couple from our favorite flicks were actually at each other’s throats?! Well, guess that’s life. Here are 9 such couples who were anything but cozy while filming.

Rachel McAdams & Ryan Gosling – The Notebook (2004)

1-ryan-and-rachel-728x484Gosling’s and McAdams’ off-screen arguments reached a point where Gosling actually refused to work with her. Director Nicholas Cassavetes told VH1 that the star actually asked him in front of 150 people in the scene, “Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off camera with me?” That’s pretty bad and certainly not in tune with the romance we saw in the film. Or was it? After all of their bickering during the entire production and seeming so at odds with each other, the two finally did reconcile and date for three years!
