Barbara Eden didn’t need many roles in her acting portfolio because her performance in the “I Dream of Jeannie” series was enough to become a mainstream star. She was initially a singer for a church choir, and then she transitioned to singing for local bands as a teenager.

Her TV career began in the mid-’50s when she appeared on “The Johnny Carson Show” as a semi-regular. As of 2021, Eden’s last role was in a 2019 film called “My Adventures with Santa.” She has been happily married to Jon Eicholtz since 1991.
